Medical Director

Mehrdad Vosoghi, M.D., F.A.C.G.

Mehrdad Vosoghi, M.D., F.A.C.G. is the Medical Director of the California Digestive Diseases Institute at Olympia Medical Center and has been serving the community for over 15 years.

He is a magna cum laude UCLA graduate, where he received a Bachelor's degree in Biology and a Master's degree in Biological Chemistry. He graduated Finch University of the Health Sciences/The Chicago Medical School to obtain his Medical Doctorate Degree and completed his residency in Internal Medicine and and Gastroenterology Fellowship at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. He has conducted extensive research and co-authored many publications since 1992. His research publications specialize in EUS (endoscopic ultrasound) and the patient experience with EUS guided pancreatic pseudocyst drainage. He has also published literature reviews for the management of pancreatic pseudocysts. In this study, he compared the success rate, recurrence rate, morbidity, and mortality of surgical, percutaneous, transpapillary, and transenteric drainage of pancreatic pseudocysts.

We have had the privilege of having Dr. Vosoghi overseeing our Gastroenterology Program here at Olympia for the past 10 years with many more to come. His compassion to excel, his knowledge and experience, and years of specialty have become the "gold standard" in Gastroenterology here at Olympia Medical.

Program Manager

Khoi Nguyen, NP-C, MSN

Khoi Nguyen is a licensed Nurse Practitioner that also serves as the Program Manager here at the California Digestive Diseases Institute.

He has a Bachelor's Degree in the field of Biological Sciences with Immunology concentration from the University of California, Irvine (UCI). He has an Associate's Degree in Nursing from Kaplan University and pursued his graduate education at Charles R. Drew University to obtain his Masters in Nursing and Family Nurse Practitioner certification.

Khoi has now specialized in Gastroenterology at Olympia Medical alongside Dr. Vosoghi for the past 2 years. He has had previous inpatient experience at Harbor-UCLA Medical Torrance and Rady's Children's Hospital San Diego with specialties in internal medicine, orthopedics, and pediatrics. He also has served the local community as a Family Nurse Practitioner at the Compton Central Health Clinic.
