Center for Geriatric Care: Referring Physician

Although we work as an interdisciplinary team, we feel that it is important to work closely with the referring physician. That way, the patient’s “regular doctor” can stay in charge of the case. Our geriatric specialists assist the referring physician in providing comprehensive care. Specific services available include:

A ) Acute nursing care, without overnight hospital stay, e.g., IV therapy, blood transfusions, wound care.

B ) Preparation and nursing care for patients undergoing complex diagnostic testing.

C ) Intensive outpatient rehabilitation including speech, occupational and physical therapy.
